Oscilloscope probes are essential accessories used to connect an oscilloscope to the device under test, allowing accurate measurement and analysis of electrical signals. They are designed to preserve signal integrity by minimizing loading effects, distortion, and noise while providing safe and stable access to test points. Common types include passive probes, which are versatile and ideal for general-purpose measurements; active probes, which offer high bandwidth and low input capacitance for high-speed or sensitive circuits; and differential probes, which allow the safe measurement of high-voltage or floating signals.
